International Day of Yoga celebrations
Recognising the universal appeal of yoga, the United Nations proclaimed 21 June as the International Day of Yoga!
From Friday 21 June to Sunday 23 June 2019, we will be joining in the fifth annual celebration of yoga and we’d love for you to be there too!
Bring a friend for free
For all of our classes on Friday 21 June, Saturday 22 June and Sunday 23 June, you are invited to bring a friend to yoga for free!
Registration is required by emailing us with your friend’s name. We’ll reserve a spot for both of you to enjoy class together 💕
– Students are encouraged to bring a friend to one class over our weekend of celebrations
– Friends must be new students to Mala Yoga
Sunday 23 June @ 3.30pm
Yoga Mala is a practice based upon the number 108, which is the number of beads in a mala. Many Yoga Mala’s consist of 108 rounds of sun salutation! Our Yoga Mala will include sun salutations however will be only part of our practice 😊
Our Yoga Mala class is open to people of all levels of yoga experience and will include 12 different practices repeated 9 times each. Think 9 chants of Om, 9 rounds of meditation, 9 rounds of sun salutation and more 🙂
We will chant Om, we’ll use mantra meditation and also move the body together in a flowing meditation.
Class attendance is by donation (cash on the day) however registration is essential to secure your place.
100% of the proceeds from the day will benefit A Sound Life.
A Sound Life is Australia’s first charity to transform the lives of people in need and improve their health, wellbeing and happiness through yoga and music. You can read more about them here.
